Role:

We are hiring an Emergency Room NP at McDonough District Hospital.

Shift Schedule:

9:00 AM - 9:00 PM Shifts per month: Varies - Full Time, Part time, and PRN needed

Setting:

10-bed ED within a 45-bed facility (7-bed ICU).

EMR:

Cerner - efficient documentation and tracking.

Support Staff:

Comprehensive team including 3 RNs, 1 Tech, and 1 Secretary/Intake Specialist during peak hours.

Duties & Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a variety of acute emergency cases. Collaborate with ER Physicians and nursing staff for medical screenings and patient disposition. Order and interpret 24/7 on-site diagnostics including Radiology (CT, Ultrasound) and Labs. Coordinate transfers for specialized cases (Neurology/Stroke/Psych) to regional trauma centers. Maintain thorough documentation within the Cerner EMR system.

Qualifications Current NP License:

Must be a Nurse Practitioner (No PAs for this specific site).

Experience:

Minimum of 2,000 ER hours within the last 24 months.

Certifications:

AHA-certified ACLS and PALS are required before first shift

Clinical Confidence:

Ability to manage a 10-bed ED and work effectively with on-call specialty backups

Credentialing:
