Eligible for medical benefits and paid leave. IMRF participation is required. •The 2025-2026 starting hourly rate for a Nurse is $29.13. The 2026-2027 starting hourly rate for a Nurse will be updated upon finalization of the new collective bargaining agreement (CBA).Minimum Qualifications:
Current Illinois Registered Nurse credentials Strong computer skills Must be detail-oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent time management skills Ability to work efficiently under minimum supervision Must respect the confidentiality of sensitive information Responsibilities /Duties:
Must perform all responsibilities in a professional manner consistent with district policy and practices Maintain student health records Facilitate student health assessment/screenings (hearing and vision) Complete medical reviews/ health histories Accurately store and dispense medication Consult with teachers, parents, and team members Write and maintain health plans and medical 504's Notify parents and building administrators regarding students who are severely ill or injured Lead professional development training to all staff as assigned (ie. Diabetes Training) Submit accurate and timely reports as required by various health agencies and the state Assume authority to provide emergency care for ill and injured students on school premises until emergency personnel arrive, under the supervision of the building administration Other relevant duties as assigned Physical Requirements Requires the ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time. Ability to move freely and perform duties in numerous locations throughout the day (involving the ability to stoop, bend, and reach as needed). Ability to occasionally move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials. Exposure to noise and activity of a school setting and as needed in noisy and crowded environments. Must possess the physical strength to occasionally assist in lifting students. Must be able to bend and perform CPR as needed.Position Type:
