Naperville, IL 60540 Pay rate: $55•60/hr Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care across diverse healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent assessment skills, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based nursing services. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting health, managing acute and chronic conditions, and supporting patient recovery through expert nursing interventions and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to inform care plans. Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and specialized treatments such as botulinum toxin therapy when applicable. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks to document patient information meticulously. Perform diagnostic evaluations, specimen collection, and processing while adhering to infection control protocols. Manage airway care, ventilator support, wound suturing, ostomy care, and other complex procedures with precision and aseptic technique. Provide patient education on health management strategies including pain management, nutrition, medication adherence, and discharge planning. Collaborate with physicians and specialists in areas such as cardiology (including catheterization), ophthalmology, infectious disease care, geriatrics, behavioral health, or emergency medicine to optimize patient outcomes. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain the highest standards of medical documentation for legal and quality assurance purposes. Qualifications Valid nursing license with current registration in the relevant jurisdiction. Proven experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation. Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, or hospice & palliative medicine is advantageous. Knowledge of
ICD-10/ICD-9
coding practices for accurate medical record keeping and billing processes. Strong clinical skills in IV insertion, phlebotomy, sterile processing techniques, and medication administration. Familiarity with specialized areas such as dialysis support, trauma medicine, obstetrics (family planning), or post-acute care settings enhances your candidacy. Excellent communication skills combined with critical thinking abilities to assess complex situations swiftly.
