None About the Role MedOp Solutions is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a Cardiac Neuro Intensive Care Unit (CNICU) assignment in Illinois. This position is ideal for a critical care nurse with strong ICU experience who thrives in a high-acuity environment. The CNICU cares for complex cardiac and neurological patients requiring advanced monitoring, critical thinking, and exceptional clinical skills.

Unit Overview Unit:

Cardiac Neuro Intensive Care Unit (CNICU)

Patient Population:

High-acuity cardiac patients Neurological critical care patients Complex ICU-level cases requiring advanced monitoring and interventions

Nurse-to-Patient Ratios:

Typically 1:2 May increase to 2-3 patients depending on acuity and unit needs

Charting System:

EPIC (required) Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care to critically ill cardiac and neurological patients Perform advanced patient assessments and continuous monitoring Administer medications, drips, and critical care therapies as ordered Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC Support patient and family education throughout the care continuum Adhere to all hospital safety, quality, and infection prevention standards Required Qualifications Active Illinois RN License BLS Certification ACLS Certification NIHSS Certification Minimum 2 years of strong ICU experience required EPIC charting experience required Strong critical thinking and time management skills Scheduling & Expectations Full-time, 12-hour night shifts Weekend rotation typically every other weekend Holiday rotation as needed No on-call requirements Floating may be required based on staffing and census needs Orientation & Onboarding Orientation held on Mondays 12 hours total orientation 6 hours paid, non-billable Credentials due Thursday prior to start date Required Submission Documents Updated Resume Skills Checklist (completed within the last 12 months) One Professional Reference (completed within the last 12 months) Illinois RN License Verification Why Join MedOp Solutions?
