None About the Role MedOp Solutions is partnering with a leading neonatal intensive care unit in Illinois to hire an experienced NICU Registered Nurse for a contract assignment. This role offers the opportunity to care for high-acuity neonatal patients in a fast-paced Level
III/IV NICU
environment. The ideal candidate will have recent experience caring for critically ill neonates, including ventilated patients and infants requiring advanced respiratory support. Nurses in this unit must be adaptable, highly skilled, and comfortable managing rapidly changing patient assignments throughout the shift. This assignment is ideal for NICU nurses seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity caring for vulnerable newborns while working alongside an experienced neonatal care team. Experience Required:
Minimum 2 years of recent Level III or Level IV NICU experience Critical care assignments available based on competency Assignments may change throughout the shift based on patient acuity and census Patient Types Premature infants beginning at 22 weeks gestation Critically ill neonates requiring intensive monitoring Infants requiring ventilator support
RAM CPAP
patients High-flow oxygen therapy patients Neonates with complex medical needs Common Diagnoses Prematurity Respiratory distress Feeding and growth challenges Neonatal infections Congenital conditions requiring stabilization and transfer Patients requiring ECMO or major cardiac interventions are transferred to specialty pediatric centers.

Grower/Feeder Assignments:
1:3-4 Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive neonatal nursing care for critically ill and premature infants Manage ventilators, RAM CPAP, and high-flow respiratory support systems Monitor and assess neonatal patients for changes in condition Administer medications and treatments according to neonatal protocols Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams Educate and support families throughout the NICU stay Maintain accurate and timely documentation Adapt to changing patient assignments and acuity levels throughout the shift Qualifications Active Illinois RN license required Minimum 2 years of recent Level III or Level IV NICU experience required Current CPR certification required NRP certification required RNC-NIC certification preferred Strong neonatal critical care assessment skills Experience caring for ventilated neonatal patients required Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment Technology & Equipment Advanced neonatal respiratory support equipment Ventilators
