Qualifications:
Current Illinois RN license required Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to respond effectively to medical situations as they arise Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to K-12 students as part of the school's health services team Assess and manage illnesses, injuries, and chronic health conditions during school hours Maintain accurate health records and documentation according to state and district guidelines Provide health education to students and staff, promoting wellness and preventative care Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents on student health plans Administer prescribed medications and treatments as needed Participate in creating and implementing emergency action plans within the school
