Advocate Christ Medical Center (ACMC) in Oak Lawn, Illinois, is a quaternary-level hospital offering a full spectrum of surgical services, from general surgery to highly specialized procedures. ACMC's surgery department provides: General surgery (trauma, critical care, minimally invasive) Orthopedic surgery Urology and urologic robotic surgery Neurosurgery Cardiothoracic surgery (including heart transplant, ventricular assist device implantation, and robotic mitral-valve repair) Vascular surgery Oral & maxillofacial surgery ENT (ear, nose & throat) Plastic surgery Minimally invasive urogynecologic surgery Advocate Health Care The Advocate Heart Institute at ACMC is nationally ranked for ventricular assist device (VAD) surgeries and is one of the few centers in Chicago performing video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) for lobectomies, pneumothoraces, and mediastinal tumors. What You Will Do As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills professional communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
