NIHSS Certification Full Job Description Pay Rate:
Up to $90/hr. combined (taxable hourly + tax-free allowances for travel, housing, meals). Rates may vary and are subject to change. Additional Bonuses, Group Health Insurance benefits available day 1, 401k and more Interventional Radiology RN Ensure informed consent is obtained and documented properly. Prepare procedural equipment, supplies, and medications according to physician preference and protocol. Intra-Procedure Responsibilities Monitor and document patient vital signs, level of consciousness, and physiological responses during procedures. Administer moderate sedation under physician supervision per protocol. Maintain sterile technique and assist the interventional team with instrumentation and patient positioning. Respond promptly to emergencies and perform appropriate interventions (e.g., airway management, ACLS). Post-Procedure Care Provide recovery care, monitor for complications such as bleeding, allergic reactions, or changes in condition. Perform post-procedure assessments, remove vascular sheaths, and apply appropriate hemostasis. Provide discharge teaching, including site care, activity restrictions, and follow-up instructions. Collaboration & Documentation Communicate effectively with physicians, technologists, and other team members. Document nursing care, medications, sedation, and patient responses accurately in the EMR. Participate in quality assurance, process improvement, and safety initiatives.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
BLS (American Heart Association) ACLS (American Heart Association) PALS and NIHSS certification
