Labor and Delivery Nurse Job Summary:
As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will be responsible for providing care and support to mothers and their newborns during the childbirth process. You will work closely with the medical team to ensure the safe delivery of babies and provide guidance and education to new parents.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs during labor Assist with the delivery of babies and provide immediate postpartum care Administer medications, IV fluids, and epidurals as needed Educate mothers on breastfeeding techniques and newborn care Provide emotional support and encouragement to laboring mothers Document all care provided and communicate with other members of the healthcare team
Qualifications and Skills:
