No Call, No Weekends, No Holidays Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced RN Circulator (Orthopaedic OR Registered Nurse) to support a fast-paced surgical services team at our ambulatory surgery center in Rockford, Illinois. This role is responsible for managing the nursing care within the operating room, ensuring patient safety, strict sterile technique compliance, and maintaining an efficient surgical workflow. Key Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms using sterile and aseptic techniques, ensuring specific orthopedic implants and instruments are ready. Verify patient identity, surgical consent, and perform precise correct-site surgical time-outs. Assist anesthesia providers during intubation, maintenance, and extubation phases. Safely position patients for complex orthopedic and spine cases. Coordinate surgical instrument and sponge counts according to facility protocols. Maintain accurate, real-time EMR documentation throughout the perioperative period. Monitor and maintain the sterile field, acting as a dedicated patient advocate. Coordinate safe transfers to the PACU and assist with rapid OR room turnover.

Qualifications Education:

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Licensure:

Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.

Experience:

Minimum 1-2 years of dedicated Operating Room (OR) Circulator experience (Orthopedic or robotic experience highly preferred).

Certifications:
