Full Job Description Pay Rate:
Up to $63/hr. combined (taxable hourly + tax-free allowances for travel, housing, meals). Rates may vary and are subject to change. Additional Bonuses, Group Health Insurance benefits available on day 1, 401k and more! Med Surg / Neuro / Step Down /
ICU Shifts:
12hr, 19:00-07:30
Job Summary:
Provides direct care to patients in a Neurological / medical-surgical setting and intensive care to critically ill patients, requiring continuous monitoring and interventions. Manages a variety of medical conditions, assists with post-operative recovery, performs assessments, administers medications, and ensures patient comfort and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess patients' conditions, vital signs, and histories. Administer medications, set up IVs, perform diagnostics, and manage wounds. Provide pre- and post-operative care, wound care, and pain management. Maintain accurate patient records and collaborate with physicians and care teams. Monitor patients and respond to emergencies promptly. Collaborate with the care team and educate patients/families. Document care and maintain records per hospital policy.
Requirements:
RN license in state of assignment. Minimum 2 yrs exp. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; OCN preferred. ICU or critical care experience and medical-surgical units preferred. Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and communication skills.
Work Environment & Demands:
Hospital settings (Med-Surg units, post-op recovery, step-down, ICU). Physical demands include standing, lifting patients/equipment, and stress management.
