This rewarding contract opportunity is perfect for experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) possessing a strong skillset in school health and legal nursing. Support young learners at the elementary and middle school levels, providing high-quality healthcare while working alongside dedicated educators and staff. Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Current, active RN or LPN license in Illinois. Background supporting elementary and/or middle school-aged children. Proven experience as a School Nurse or in pediatric settings is highly valued. Familiarity with legal aspects of nursing care, including documentation and compliance with health regulations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to quickly adapt and remain composed in a fast-paced educational setting. Prior school-based or camp healthcare experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to students, managing acute and chronic health conditions. Administer medications, perform health screenings, and respond to emergency situations. Maintain confidential, accurate health records in compliance with school and state guidelines. Educate students and staff on health, wellness, and disease prevention.
