Job Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - Hospice Inpatient Unit Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our hospice care team in a 6-bed inpatient unit. This role provides the opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centered end-of-life care in a supportive, moderate-paced environment. This position is ideal for a nurse with hospice or long-term care experience who is passionate about comfort, dignity, and quality of life for patients and families. Duties and Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols Document patient care, treatment plans, and progress notes using EMR systems (HospiceSoft/Careficient) Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support care planning, symptom management, and discharge coordination Provide education and emotional support to patients and families regarding care needs and health management Assist with basic and supportive procedures as needed, including catheter care, tube feedings, and sterile technique Participate in care coordination for hospice and palliative services Work Environment 6-bed inpatient hospice unit Moderate-paced clinical setting No advanced procedures required Requirements Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license Experience with EMR/EHR systems (HospiceSoft/Careficient preferred) Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills Effective communication and teamwork abilities Hospice or long-term care experience preferred Preferred Qualifications Experience in hospice, palliative care, or long-term care settings Strong comfort with end-of-life care and family support

From $34.00 per hour
