Float Requirement:
Required to float between Champaign Endoscopy Center and Digestive Health Department as needed. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and patient-focused Registered Nurse (RN) to join a busy Endoscopy team in Urbana, Illinois. This role is ideal for a skilled nurse who excels in procedural care, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care before, during, and after endoscopic procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the care continuum. Key Responsibilities Provide pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. Perform patient assessments, review medical histories, and identify potential risks prior to procedures. Administer medications, including sedation and recovery-related treatments, in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols. Monitor patient condition, vital signs, and responses throughout procedures and recovery. Educate patients and families regarding procedure preparation, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions. Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, technicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record. Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and quality assurance standards. Assist with patient flow and departmental operations while supporting both assigned clinical locations. Requirements Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) License

Strong assessment, procedural, and patient education skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced procedural environment. Preferred Qualifications Previous Endoscopy, GI Lab, Procedural, Ambulatory Surgery, PACU, or Critical Care experience. Experience with moderate sedation and post-procedural recovery care.
