Qualifications and Experience:
Current, unencumbered RN or LPN license Experience working with school-aged children or in a school setting preferred Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills Familiarity with legal and ethical standards in nursing practice Ability to respond quickly to medical incidents and provide emergency care Organizational skills for maintaining health records and documentation
What You'll Do:
Provide daily care and health screenings for students in grades 2nd through 7th at elementary and middle-school levels Collaborate with educators and staff to develop and implement care plans for students with chronic health conditions Administer medications, monitor immunizations, and manage treatment for acute illnesses or injuries Serve as an advocate for student health and wellness, offering support and education for healthy lifestyle choices Maintain accurate records adhering to legal, privacy, and school policies Participate in school health initiatives, parent communications, and multi-disciplinary team meetings
