We're looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Wound Care Nurse to lead our wound care program and help our residents achieve the best possible outcomes. If you're passionate about clinical excellence, resident advocacy, and making a meaningful difference every day, we'd love to meet you. What You'll Do Perform comprehensive wound and skin assessments. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized wound care treatment plans. Complete routine wound rounds and accurate clinical documentation. Collaborate with physicians, therapy, dietary, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize healing outcomes. Monitor residents for changes in skin integrity and implement preventative interventions. Educate nursing staff, residents, and families on wound prevention and treatment. Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility policies regarding wound care and infection prevention. Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives related to skin integrity and wound management. Serve as a clinical resource for pressure injury prevention and best practices. Qualifications Current Illinois RN or LPN license in good standing. Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred. Wound care experience strongly preferred. Wound Care Certification (WCC, WOCN, or similar) is preferred but not required. Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills. Passion for providing compassionate, resident-centered care. Why Join Washington Senior Living?
