Full-time SUMMARY:
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive health services to students at the Intermediate School while also serving as a clinical resource and support for the health aides at EPS and EECC. This role ensures a safe, healthy school environment that promotes student well-being, attendance, and academic success.REPORTS TO

Based primarily at the Intermediate School with regular support to EPS andEECC SCHEDULE
School-year teacher schedule with addition of days on both ends of the school year to prepare and close down the health office.EDUCATION/LICENSE/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state Previous pediatric, community health, or school nursing experience preferredESSENTIAL DUTIES
other duties as assigned Student Health Services (Intermediate School) Deliver daily nursing care, including assessment, treatment, and monitoring of student health needs Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school policies Communicate needs for IHPs, Emergency Action plans to Corporation Nurse Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid and crisis intervention Monitor and manage chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, seizures, allergies) Maintain accurate and confidential student health records Resource & Support Role (EPS and EECC) Serve as a clinical consultant for health aides and staff at EPS and EECC Provide guidance to health aide on student health concerns Health Promotion & Compliance Promote health education and preventative care for students and staff Collaborate with families Administrative Duties Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment Ensure compliance with corporation policies and state nursing standards Prepare documentation as requiredKEY COMPETENCIES

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff and the school community. Must have dependable transportation to travel between schools. Ability to manage time, be self-motivated, and maintain confidentiality. Ability to perform duties and have an awareness of all School Corporation requirements and School Board policies that apply to this position. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, decimals, percentages, and ratios, to practical situations.REASONING ABILITY
