As part of our Pre-Admission Testing team , you'll be the critical first point of contact for patients prior to surgery or endoscopy at North Hospital. This role focuses on proactive pre-procedure phone call, educating adult and pediatric patients and guardians on what to expect on surgery day, reviewing anesthesia-driven medication holds, and identifying potential clinical concerns early. This individual will collaborate closely with anesthesiologists and surgeons to ensure patients are fully prepared and risks are addressed before they arrive. Candidates with strong experience in surgical and/or endoscopy procedures, especially three or more years . The ideal candidate will thrive in this fast-paced, patient-focused role. •
Referral Bonus Eligible Shifts:
Full-time, 40 hours/week; Day shift Qualifications Requires Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Education:
The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
Exceptions:
Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies. Why Join IU Health?
