INTERNAL CATH LAB DEPARTMENT APPLICANTS ONLY!
What you need to know about this position: Recognized as one of the top 50 Cardiovascular Hospitals by IBM Watson Health , our nurses partner with cardiologists to treat heart patients and peripheral vascular disease. Our Cardiac Cath unit includes 3 Cath labs and 9 outpatient rooms, and our team plans for 7 cases per day. The RN Cath EP Team Lead position is a registered nurse who is responsible and accountable for the day-to-day direction of the Cardiac Cath Lab department staff, identification of staffing needs, and the coordination of patient care activities. He/she is the liaison between staff and management, assisting leadership in determining staff needs and identifying opportunities for improvement. He/she provides leadership, supervision, organization, conflict management and clinical expertise. The Lead RN fosters open communication with electrophysiologists in the assigned area. This position is the primary preceptor and coordinates training by other team members, based on learning needs. The base hourly rate for this position is $38.52. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions. This full-time position will require you to work 36 hours a week, 6:30am-7:00pm, Monday through Friday, with a holiday and on-call rotation. What is required for this position: Education and/or Experience Graduate of a school of nursing required upon hire. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within three (3) years of hire required. Two years experience with expert knowledge of electrophysiology (EP) lab processes, including the ability to fulfill a minimum of 2 of the following roles; circulator, bio/documentation, or scrub role desired. Management or supervisory experience preferred. Certifications, Licenses, Registrations Indiana Registered Nurse License or Multi-State Registered Nurse License through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
