Ortho Neuro Trauma Care Center MS RN - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift:

6:30 PM - 7:00

AM Experience:

24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months. 12 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience. 3 months of travel experience is required. Experience with Epic is required. Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required for submission). This role may require floating to additional units and locations Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >40 miles from facility to be submitted. No current placement allowed at

Program:

SimpliFi Program - Deaconess Health. Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Please upload any certifications or health documents you have to your profile to expedite your on-boarding process.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

One full year ortho/neuro/trauma Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)

Skillset:

Strong neuro assessment, log rolling patients, applying assistice devices (back brace, immobilizer), Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation (travelers are required to pass a tele test.

), PIV insertion. Teaching hospital, may require precepting of students & new-hires

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Chest tube/indwelling drain management, drips (heparin, lasix, protonix), epidural management, PEGs/NGs, Buck's traction, pin site care, On-Q management, CIWA/BH, wounds (packing, wound vacs).

Required Credentials:

Associate Degree or Certificate Shift & Scheduling:

Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.

Floating Requirements:

First to float within skillset. Deaconess Newburgh (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY - 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible. 14 days maximum time off 1 reference required from within the last 12 months 1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months Proof of identification required
