RN- ER (PT- 0.6 FTE, Mid Shift)

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse works in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the health care team, plans and implements patient and family education and is responsible for assessing the needs and initiating appropriate intervention for patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Current Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse) American Heart Association BLS American Heart Association ACLS within 4 months of hire National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification within 6 months of hire American Heart Association PALS or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course certification within 1 year of hire Trauma Nursing Core Course certification within 1 year of hire Competence in and a willingness and ability to practice modified primary nursing Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course certification 1 year emergency nursing or critical care experience

Stroke Competency:

Complies with hospital policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines related to care for patients with hyperacute and acute stroke Participates in two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease (stoke) education within one year of hire Participates in one hour annually of cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education Schedule Requirements This role requires regular and sustained attendance. The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts. On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs. This position is represented by the Montana Nurse's Association. Infectious diseases are caused by contact with patients in areas that may have contagious illnesses.
