Vascular Access Nurse Job Description Overview Part-Time-Day:
7a-3:30p, 3 days/week rotating days This position is referral eligible. Full time roles are eligible for a sign on bonus. We are currently seeking dedicated Vascular Access Clinical Nurse to join our Vascular Access team at IU Health Fishers. In this vital role, you'll support the hospital through vascular access responsibilities.Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols Placement of Ultrasound guided IVs, PICCs Helping with difficult access or blood draws • Monitor and Vascular access inventory and supplies. Document procedures accurately and in accordance with hospital policy. Collaborate with the charge & bedside nurses to ensure optimal patient care. Provide compassionate support to patients and their families.What We're Looking For:
A team player with strong attention to detail and a calm, focused demeanor. Commitment to patient safety, professionalism, and continuous learning. Previous Vascular Access nursing experience.Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 yrs of Vascular Access experience required ASN required; BSN preferred Current Indiana RN license Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA requiredEducation:
The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.Exceptions:
Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience.
