2 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring an active IN or Compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of PCU experience. Details Short-term acute care hospital setting Progressive Care Unit (PCU) assignment Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:30) Floating required to Med-Surg and potentially to an affiliate hospital nearby Charting is done in Cerner (experience required) 13-week contract Requirements Active IN or Compact RN license in hand at time of consideration — pending licenses are not accepted Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA and RQI formats accepted) Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required Cerner EMR experience required RN degree from a university accredited by ACEN or CCNE at the time of graduation 2 supervisor references required SSN and DOB required for consideration Indiana residents are not eligible for this position (IN RNs are not permitted at IU Health facilities for PCU roles) Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates (Indiana residents) are not accepted for this PCU position Must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the contract Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved Former permanent or PRN employees of IU Health must have a 12-month break before applying as a traveler Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within IU Health are required to take a consecutive break to reset eligibility: out-of-state residents require a 90-day break and in-state residents require a 180-day break
