Job Description

Summary Summary Performs nursing triage utilizing approved triage guidelines. Provides guidance to callers by providing health information, assistance with medication refills as indicated, and symptom assessment and recommendations for the use of over the counter medications as appropriate. Handles emergent situations as they arise and selects the most appropriate disposition based on the patient's care needs. Functions independently in a fast paced 24/7 department. Education Must be a graduate of a School of Nursing. Must complete general orientation. Licensure/Certification Must have current RN license. Experience Minimum of five years experience as a registered nurse. Experience in understanding and usage of computers, including Microsoft. Other Qualifications Demonstrates ability to type 40 wpm with 98% accuracy. Demonstrates the ability to work independently with strong decision making skills, multi-task, and learn applications relevant to the position. Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, courteous and professional manner. Exhibits quality vocal skills through speech rate, volume, enunciation and pronunciation. Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Documents precisely in a concise manner. Ability to successfully function in a fast paced, service oriented environment. Must possess strong critical thinking and verbal assessment skills. Why Parkview?
