Job Description

Faculty RN Program Instructor Reports to: Leader, Faculty RN Program At Beacon, we deliver outstanding care, inspire health, and connect with heart. We are seeking a dedicated Faculty RN Program Instructor to join our team and support our mission, values, and strategic plan initiatives. About the Role The Faculty RN Program Instructor provides high-quality instruction for students in our ASN and Practical Nursing programs - including classroom, lab, and clinical teaching. This role also supports curriculum development, student advising, program enrollment efforts, and institutional and community service activities. Key Responsibilities Instruction & Classroom Support Deliver assigned classes in line with college policies and course objectives. Develop and maintain course materials, including outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, and exams. Maintain accurate student records, grades, and documentation. Ensure a safe, organized classroom/lab environment, including proper equipment and supplies. Professional Development & College Support Participate in professional development activities to advance instructional and technical skills. Engage in community service activities to strengthen the college's local relationships. Support curriculum development, accreditation efforts, and department/college-wide initiatives. Provide student advising during registration periods and maintain posted office hours. Support the Program Chair in program management tasks. Attend and actively participate in department meetings. Organizational Standards Complete mandatory training, annual competencies, and health requirements on time. Maintain required licenses/certifications in good standing, including
BCLS/CPR.

Leverage innovation everywhere Cultivate human talent Embrace performance improvement Build greatness through accountability Use information to improve and advance Communicate clearly and continuously What You Need to Succeed Education & Licensure Master's degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution or Bachelor's degree in Nursing with RN licensure in Indiana, plus enrollment in an MSN program or willingness to complete an MSN within three years. Active Registered Nurse license in Indiana. Experience Minimum of two years of directly related work experience in nursing.
Preferred:
Previous teaching experience in higher education. Skills & Attributes Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to work independently, show initiative, and be self-motivated. Commitment to supporting students from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Working Conditions This role requires flexibility to adapt to frequent changes in job demands. Must be able to meet the physical demands of teaching, including lab and clinical instruction.
