A person who is able to efficiently answer calls, listen and determine the best course of action - and do it all day long. A person who can work through the voice mails and the in-basket and make sure each patient touched is helped pleasantly and properly.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Work with physicians, nurses, and patients to resolve questions concerning medications, health education, and medical advice within skill level and scope of practice. Assist the patient by acquiring the appropriate appointment, as needed. Record and maintain complete and accurate records of patient and physician communications regarding medical care, according to standard medical record documentation requirements. Retrieve messages from phone mail in a timely manner and respond to patient needs, according to medical priority. Document all incoming calls according to established department routine. Follow through in a timely manner on patient requests. Submit electronically/fax new prescriptions and refill prescriptions, according to Physician orders. Serve as a resource to clinic staff regarding medical information, patient assessment, and nursing management of illness. Perform document scanning, as needed. Acquire pre-certs/prior authorizations for patient needs. Provide test results. Qualifications Required Associate's Degree Nursing/Patient Care Preferred Bachelor's Degree Nursing/Patient Care Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board
