Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
Registered Nurse is responsible for implementing, directing, communicating and documenting the nursing process and provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and associates. The nurse practices in accordance with current established standards of care, the Nurse Practice Act, Powers Health policies and procedures, and supports the mission and philosophy of Powers Health.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN Desirable Current professional licensure by the State of Indiana Health Professions Bureau. Demonstrates knowledge of Palliative Care, Advance Directives, Pain Management, Discharge Planning Certification in Palliative Care must be obtained within 2 years of employment. BLS certification. Excellent communication skills. Excellent patient assessment skills including assessment of psychosocial issues. Able to work independently and collaboratively with members of the healthcare team. Experience with EMR and Microsoft Word Products. Demonstrates a professional, positive, flexible demeanor. Resourceful and adaptable to the changing healthcare climate.Similar jobs in Munster, IN
