This is a unique opportunity for an RN with home health administrative experience in Indiana who wants to take ownership of building a successful program—not just maintaining one. You'll play a key role in securing licensure, establishing clinical and operational processes, and supporting early growth. This position combines leadership and direct patient care. The right candidate is comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities with hands-on field work during the start-up phase. This role is not suited for candidates seeking a primarily office-based position. What You'll Do As our Assistant Director of Nursing , you will: Lead the licensure process and secure our Indiana Home Health license Develop, and implement clinical, operational, and compliance Provide clinical oversight from admission through discharge Perform skilled nursing visits Ensure compliance with all Indiana state regulations, policies, and standards Deliver both administrative leadership AND hands-on field support Partner directly with the RN owner to build and scale the program Recruit, train, supervise and support field staff as the program grows Maintain strong relationships with clients and families to ensure exceptional care This is a working leadership role —you'll be in the field, not just behind a desk. What You Bring Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana Minimum 2+ years recent Home Health experience At least 1 year of administrative Home Health experience Robust knowledge and understanding of Home Health licensure, compliance, and regulatory requirements for the State of Indiana Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently Willingness to work both in the field and in a leadership role Valid driver's license, auto with insurance, and clean driving record Compensation & Perks Competitive compensation aligned with experience Very nice bonus upon successful licensure Opportunity to grow into a Director-level role as the program expands Full-time schedule + rotating on-call PTO Mileage reimbursement Why This Role Stands Out Special opportunity to build a program from the ground up Direct access to local ownership - ability to implement without layers of bureaucracy Meaningful impact on seniors in our local Southern Indiana community A team that works alongside you About Us This locally owned and operated Home Instead office is focused on delivering compassionate, high-quality care to seniors in our community.
