We are seeking a dedicated and experienced PACU RN (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit / Pre-Post Op Recovery) to join our team at a busy outpatient surgery center in the Carmel/Westfield area. This role is full-time, 4 days per week, and offers strong benefits. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to patients immediately before and after surgical procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and compliance with all clinical standards.Key Responsibilities:
Monitor patients in the pre-op and post-op recovery phases, including airway management, vital signs, and pain control. Administer medications and anesthesia-related interventions as needed, following physician orders and protocols. Assess patient condition and readiness for discharge from PACU, including education and instructions for recovery. Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure smooth perioperative care. Document patient care, interventions, and observations accurately in EMR systems. Respond to changes in patient condition promptly and escalate as appropriate. Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient environment in accordance with healthcare regulations.Qualifications:
Current RN license in Indiana. PACU or post-op recovery experience required. BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS preferred. Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Why Join Us:
