What You Will Do:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide professional services described herein as an independent contractor. Evaluates the competency of individuals to provide home health aide services Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Competencies:
Physicians' orders-HHA Plan of Care Documentation/Advance Directives/DNR Reporting change in patient condition or skin condition/breakdown Reporting change in body function/Pain Mgt. Communication skills/ability to read, write, and report clinical info to clients, family and other caregivers Vital signs- temp, pulse and respirations Infection control/Hazardous Waste Recognizing emergencies/Emergency Preparedness Maintenance of a clean, safe, and healthy environment Basic elements of body functioning and reportable changes Grooming (hair, nail, and skin care)
Qualifications:
What You'll Bring:
Ability to work in a professional, ethical, and respectful manner. Ability to provide personal care for non-ambulatory clients, use a Hoyer lift, maneuver wheelchairs, and transport clients to community events and social activities. Strong communication skills, oral and written; strong interpersonal skills. Ability to anticipate and resolve problems demonstrating good judgment.Education and Experience:
One (1) year of experience working in homecare Two (2) years nursing experience Must be a Registered Nurse in the state of Indiana The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
