13 Wk Contract - Registered Nurse, Obstetrics

Position Overview AllShifts is seeking OB Registered Nurse (RN) who provide direct and individualized nursing care to obstetric patients throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period in an acute care hospital setting. The RN utilizes the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered maternal and neonatal care. This role requires strong clinical judgment, fetal monitoring expertise, and the ability to respond rapidly in high-acuity situations.

Week Contract Shift:

12hr (7p-7a) Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for laboring patients Monitor fetal heart rate and uterine activity Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries Administer medications, including epidurals and induction agents Provide patient and family education throughout labor and postpartum Collaborate with OB physicians, midwives, and care team Respond to obstetric emergencies (e.g., fetal distress, hemorrhage) Document care in EHR and maintain compliance with safety standards Minimum Requirements ADN required; BSN preferred Active RN license fetal monitoring, NRP, BLS and ACLS.(AHA) Fetal monitoring certification preferred Labor & Delivery experience required
