Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a background in operating room environments to deliver exceptional perioperative care in a fast-paced surgical department. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work alongside skilled professionals dedicated to patient advocacy and positive surgical outcomes.
Key Qualifications:
Current and unrestricted RN licensure Minimum of 2 years' recent nursing experience in an operating room setting (scrub and circulate preferred) Comprehensive knowledge of surgical procedures, infection control protocols, and sterile technique BLS and ACLS certification (active and current) Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork abilities Ability to adapt quickly to rapidly changing clinical situations
Schedule/Hours:
Assignment length and schedule to be discussed with qualified candidates
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct patient care throughout the perioperative process, including pre-op preparation, intraoperative assistance, and post-op monitoring Circulate and/or scrub for various surgical procedures, maintaining the integrity of the sterile field and ensuring all safety protocols are followed Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families before and after procedures Accurately document care delivery, assessments, and surgical counts Maintain readiness of the operating room and handle emergency situations with composure and expertise This role is ideal for a motivated RN seeking hands-on surgical experience in a rewarding environment with cutting-edge procedures.
