We are a sub-specialty ophthalmology medical practice treating diseases and surgeries of the retina, vitreous, and macula and are dedicated to serving the needs of our patients. We're looking for a candidate highly dedicated to patients and supporting physicians and peers, who exhibits strong IV skills and knowledge of EMR systems. Training provided. Responsibilities Communicate with physicians, referring physicians, and other medical professionals. Good understanding of retina practice (training provided) and patient care. Perform compliant and complete patient work up in a timely manner. Create and contribute to patients' medical records. Collaborate with clinical team in patient testing and treatment. Administration of medication, including IV procedures under direction of the physician. Respond to inquiries, concerns and complaints from patients and their families/guardians. Demonstrate excellence in management, leadership and organizational skills. Schedule patient appointments. Administrative duties for clinic- including surgery scheduling, completing FMLA paperwork, and triaging patient calls. Some travel is required between clinic locations. Skills Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. KS & MO licenses. 1+ years' nursing experience preferably in a hospital or specialty clinic setting. Excellent patient care and communication skills. Working knowledge of laws and regulations. Knowledge and experience with electronic medical records.
