The role supports both experienced nurses and new graduates.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor, assess, and manage patients with acute cardiac conditions. Administer medications, IV therapies, and other prescribed treatments. Operate and interpret cardiac monitoring equipment, telemetry, and other critical care devices. Respond quickly to emergencies and provide life‑saving interventions. Document patient progress and communicate changes to physicians and the healthcare team. Educate patients and families on cardiac care, recovery plans, and preventive measures. Mentor new graduates with hands‑on guidance in the CCU setting.
Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required. New graduate RN eligible for full‑time CCU opportunities.
