Job Description

Key Responsibilities Monitor and prevent healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) across the facility Conduct infection surveillance, data collection, and trend analysis Ensure compliance with CDC, OSHA, Joint Commission, and hospital infection prevention standards Educate hospital staff on infection control practices, PPE usage, and exposure protocols Support employee health initiatives including immunizations, exposure follow-ups, and return-to-work clearance Investigate infection outbreaks and implement corrective action plans Collaborate with nursing leadership, physicians, and quality teams to improve patient safety outcomes Maintain accurate documentation and reporting using Meditech charting systems Participate in audits, inspections, and regulatory readiness activities Requirements Active RN license (state or compact license as applicable) BLS Certification required 1-2 years of current or previous Employee Health and/or Infection Control experience required Strong understanding of infection prevention protocols and healthcare regulations Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills Experience in acute care hospital settings preferred Familiarity with Meditech charting is a plus Why Should You Apply?
