Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - CVOR Job Type Contract Elevate your nursing career in a Cardiac Operating Room (CVOR) environment, making a daily difference in the lives of patients undergoing critical cardiovascular procedures. This contract role provides registered nurses with the opportunity to work alongside top cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, and dedicated healthcare professionals in a high-tech surgical setting.
What You'll Bring:
Active RN license in good standing Minimum of 1 year of recent CVOR nursing experience Strong understanding of cardiovascular surgical procedures and sterile technique Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations Excellent communication and critical-thinking skills BLS and ACLS certifications required Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary surgical team
Your Responsibilities:
Provide direct, specialized care to patients before, during, and after cardiovascular surgeries Assist the surgical team in preparing and maintaining the operating room for cases Monitor patient status and vital signs, anticipating needs throughout procedures Ensure strict adherence to infection control standards and safety protocols Document all aspects of patient care with accuracy and timeliness Support patients and their families with education and emotional guidance during the perioperative process Participate in surgical team briefings, timeouts, and debriefings to enhance patient safety
