PCU/Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)

Qualifications:

Valid and unrestricted RN licensure Recent experience in Stepdown and/or PCU nursing environments Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication abilities ACLS and BLS certifications required Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team Familiarity with electronic health record systems

Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from critical illness or requiring progressive monitoring Conduct detailed patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and identify changes in patient conditions Administer medications and manage complex treatments in accordance with physician orders and protocols Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and allied staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes Provide education and support to patients and families regarding care plans and recovery processes Accurately document nursing interventions, progress, and communications
