Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse skilled in the Operating Room to support surgical services on a contract basis. This role plays a vital part in providing patient-centered care before, during, and after surgical procedures while collaborating with surgeons, surgical technologists, and other medical team members.
Key Qualifications:
Active, unencumbered RN license Demonstrated experience in the Operating Room setting Solid understanding of surgical aseptic techniques and safety protocols BLS certification (required); ACLS preferred Strong critical thinking and communication abilities Capacity to remain calm and organized in fast-paced, high-pressure situations
Primary Responsibilities:
Circulate and/or scrub during surgical procedures, ensuring appropriate preparation and support throughout Assess, plan, and implement individualized care for surgical patients Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes or emergencies Maintain strict adherence to infection control and hand hygiene practices Accurately document patient care, medications, and interventions within the electronic medical record Partner effectively with the surgical team to anticipate surgeon needs and promote optimal patient outcomes Clean, restock, and maintain supplies, equipment, and OR suites according to facility protocols This assignment offers a valuable opportunity to provide excellent perioperative care within a supportive environment dedicated to clinical excellence.
