Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Contract Explore an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Stepdown and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) environments. This contract position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in intermediate care, ready to deliver exceptional patient-centered support and foster positive outcomes. The role emphasizes critical thinking, teamwork, and adaptability within a dynamic clinical setting.
Qualifications:
Active RN license, in good standing Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Stepdown or Progressive Care/PCU Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications Proficient in monitoring and managing patients requiring continuous cardiac and respiratory support Excellent communication and documentation skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment Strong clinical assessment and time management abilities
Schedule:
Contract position Flexible scheduling may be available depending on unit needs
Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to medically complex patients requiring close monitoring post-ICU or surgical procedures Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to design, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans Monitor, record, and communicate patient status, vital signs, and changes in condition Administer prescribed medication and manage complex infusions and therapies Provide patient and family education to promote understanding and recovery Utilize advanced technology and equipment to support patient needs Maintain compliance with organizational protocols and regulations
