Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Contract Take your nursing expertise to the next level in a dynamic Stepdown and Progressive Care Unit environment. We are seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in stepdown and progressive care to provide high-quality care and support to patients requiring close monitoring and specialized intervention.
Responsibilities:
Deliver patient-centered nursing care in the Stepdown/PCU, closely monitoring patients' conditions and reporting changes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and assess individualized care plans. Manage cardiac drips, titration of medications, and interpretation of cardiac rhythms. Respond swiftly to emergencies while ensuring strong clinical judgment. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and ongoing care needs. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Current and unencumbered RN license. Minimum of one year recent experience in Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) required. Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications. Strong skills in critical thinking, organization, and communication. Proficiency with electronic health records and bedside monitoring equipment. Ability to excel in a fast-paced, evolving care environment.
