Category Nursing - RN - CVOR Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding nursing opportunity dedicated to excellence in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) care. This contract position is ideal for a registered nurse with specialized experience in the CVOR setting, seeking to deliver high-quality perioperative care within a dynamic team environment.
Requirements & Desired Experience:
Current, unencumbered RN license Proven experience in CVOR nursing required Advanced understanding of surgical procedures and instrumentation related to cardiovascular surgery BLS and ACLS certifications, current and valid Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking abilities Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-acuity surgical setting Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to patient advocacy and safety
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with surgeons and surgical teams to prepare for and assist during cardiovascular procedures Scrub and circulate on various open-heart and vascular cases Monitor, assess, and record patient condition before, during, and after procedures Maintain a sterile field and ensure compliance with infection control guidelines Anticipate needs and respond quickly in acute or emergent situations Provide thorough documentation and communication within the interdisciplinary team Support patients and families by offering information, reassurance, and education This is an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise to a respected healthcare environment.
