Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Contract Step into a vital nursing role where your expertise in Stepdown and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) settings truly matters. Deliver high-quality care to patients requiring close monitoring and comprehensive support as they progress from critical illness. Work alongside an experienced clinical team, making quick decisions and acting as a key point of communication between patients, families, and healthcare practitioners.
Schedule/Hours:
Contract position with flexible shift options based on unit needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid and unrestricted RN license. Recent experience in Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) required. Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic clinical environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide vigilant monitoring and individualized nursing care to patients with complex, evolving needs. Administer medications, monitor responses, and adjust care plans accordingly. Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care. Educate patients and families regarding post-acute care and recovery processes. Accurately document all patient care activities in compliance with facility standards and protocols. Respond promptly to changes in patient condition, ensuring safety and quality at every step.
