What You Will Do:
As a Cardiovascular Thoracic OR Nurse, you will be at the forefront of patient care for a variety of surgical cases, including Bypass Surgeries and other complex cardiac operations. You will serve as a Circulator with CVOR specialty, managing pre-operative preparations, intra-operative care, and post-operative recovery. Your role involves independent circulating during procedures, participation in call for CVOR cases, and ensuring compliance with all safety and procedural standards.
Required Skills:
Current CVOR-specific OR circulating experience is mandatory. Strong, independent circulating skills with a focus on cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries. Proficiency in managing a wide range of surgical cases, including bypass and coronary artery procedures. Valid BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only). Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and adapt quickly. Excellent communication and team collaboration skills. Nice to
Have Skills:
Experience with other service lines such as General, GYN, Urology, ENT, Orthopedics, Neurology, Robotics, or Plastics. Prior experience in trauma or urgent surgical cases. Additional certifications relevant to cardiac or thoracic nursing.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Registered Nurse with a valid state license. At least 2 years of OR circulating experience, preferably with a focus on cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries. Prior CVOR experience is essential; candidates familiar with bypass and coronary artery procedures are highly preferred.
Other Requirements:
Availability to work 8-hour days Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with participation in call specifically for CVOR cases. Must have all licensure and certifications completed and submitted by the compliance deadline (07/02/2026). No pending licenses or background issues; all prerequisites must be met at time of submission. Candidates should be prepared for a swift interview process, providing true availability for the upcoming week.
