Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care across diverse clinical settings, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes. Your expertise will support a wide range of medical services, from acute care to long-term management, while fostering a positive environment for patients and their families. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions and medication management tailored to individual care plans. Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization, ostomy care, and tube feeding while maintaining strict aseptic techniques. Manage acute pain and provide critical care support in settings like ICU, emergency room, or trauma centers, including Level I and Level II trauma experience. Coordinate patient care through case management activities, discharge planning, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across outpatient, inpatient, home care, and hospice environments. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain detailed medical documentation for legal and quality assurance purposes. Support laboratory specimen collection/processing, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and accurate medical records management to facilitate diagnostic evaluation and billing processes. Deliver health coaching and education on topics such as geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, or chronic disease management to empower patients in their recovery journey. Experience Proven nursing experience in diverse clinical settings including hospital medicine, critical care (ICU), emergency medicine, or outpatient clinics. Demonstrated expertise working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities in long-term care or assisted living environments. Prior experience with specialized procedures such as pulmonary ventilator management, spinal taps, sonography, or gastrostomy tube care is highly desirable. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation and patient tracking. Knowledge of infectious disease protocols, infection control practices, and trauma medicine standards consistent with Level I/II trauma centers or teaching hospitals. Ability to perform complex assessments involving anatomy knowledge, physiology understanding, diagnostic evaluation skills including laboratory testing and radiology interpretation (e.g., mammography or sonography). Experience in acute care environments such as neonatal intensive care units (NICU), pediatric units (PICU), or post-acute settings like sub-acute or rehabilitation facilities is advantageous.
