Required License/Registration/Certification Registered Nurse (RN) Physical Requirements Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds, or standing/walking and sitting for long periods of time. Shift Monday - Friday, 9AM - 5PM (40 hrs/wk); other hours/schedule as needed;

Job Summary This position is located off-campus in Lexington, KY at UK Bluegrass Care Clinic in Beaumont Center.

The University of Kentucky's Division of Infectious Diseases specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of conditions. Our physicians have expertise in the treatment of patients with HIV , emerging infections, and those who are transplant recipients or have infections due to immune compromise. The Bluegrass Care Clinic serves as one of four federally funded Ryan White HIV Clinics within the state of Kentucky. The Bluegrass Care Clinic's mission is to provide a continuum of high quality, state-of-the-art, multidisciplinary HIV primary care in a compassionate, culturally sensitive manner. Our goal is to achieve 100-percent access to HIV primary care with zero-percent socioeconomic disparity in health outcomes. The Nurse Clinical Ambulatory provides disease-specific patient care to patients within the Bluegrass Care Clinic. The position's responsibilities include but are not limited to, skilled assessments, patient education, clinical care delivery and in basket management. The Nurse Clinical Ambulatory provides disease specific patient care to a group of patients who have serious acute and/or chronic health events or who are seeking healthcare to maintain their state of wellness. Responsibilities of the position include, but not limited to skilled assessments, care plans and care plan implementation, patient education and clinical evaluation or interventions. This position requires working with medical professionals who are working under time and efficiency constraints in a busy ambulatory care setting with a patient centered care focus on quality, safety, and service. A working knowledge of enterprise, nursing, departmental policies, protocols, and procedures is needed to be successful.
