1 Description American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery / Recovery / Postpartum position in Richmond, KY, requiring an active KY or compact RN license and multiple OB-specific certifications. Details Work in the Obstetrics unit of an acute care hospital in Richmond, KY Patient population includes labor & delivery, recovery, and postpartum (LDRP) care Day shift, 12-hour shifts (3 days per week, 36 hours per week) 13-week contract Requirements Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky or a compact state currently in hand Required certifications:
BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN
Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), and STABLE ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety measures DOB (MM/DD) and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration Additional Information Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, individualized care planning, patient and family education, and coordination of admission, transfer, and discharge activities Nursing practice is evidence-based and guided by hospital policies, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines Delegates tasks appropriately and monitors the accuracy and completeness of care provided by other team members Actively participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and documentation auditing No prior OB nursing experience is explicitly required; previous nursing experience is preferred First-time travelers may be considered for this position
