Job Description

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a difference every day by supporting students' health and well-being in a dynamic middle school environment. As a contract Registered Nurse, you'll use your expertise to contribute to a positive and healthy atmosphere, working closely with students, families, and school staff.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued in Louisiana Prior experience in a school setting preferred, especially at the middle school level Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with students, parents, and staff Energetic, adaptable, and capable of working independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct medical care, first aid, and emergency response to students and staff Monitor and manage chronic health conditions within the school setting Administer medications and maintain accurate health records Develop and implement care plans for students with complex health needs Collaborate with educators and families to support students' health and academic success Promote health education and wellness throughout the school community Adhere to confidentiality laws and uphold best practices in student health care This contract opportunity offers a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, ensuring a great work-life balance while making a vital impact in the lives of middle schoolers.
