Competitive pay packages Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You'll Do Provide professional nursing care for acute cardiopulmonary patients in a step-down/med-surg setting Monitor and manage CVA, TIA, and other neurological patient conditions Administer medications including drips like Levophed, Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin Perform procedures such as CVL management, Foley management, tube feedings via NGT or PEG, and arterial lines Support patient care by following protocols, charting accurately in Meditech Expanse EMR system Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including hospitalists, RTs, PTs, and STs Floats to other units such as MedSurg and stepdown as needed, maintaining flexibility and professionalism
What You Need Required:
Active RN license with
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
certifications Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience in a similar setting Experience with CVL management, IV therapy, drips (Levophed preferred), and complex patient management Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
Preferred:
Prior experience in PCU or step-down units Experience managing patients with CVA, TIA, or similar diagnoses Strong skills in arterial line management, tube feedings, and diabetes management About the Assignment This assignment takes place in a high-acuity PCU unit within a leading facility in City, State. The unit cares for complex patients requiring close monitoring and specialized interventions, with support from a multidisciplinary team. Orientation includes hospital and on-shift training, preparing you for success in this fast-paced environment. Flexible scheduling options include 4-3 or 2-2-5 rotations, and coverage includes major holidays.
