What You'll Do:
Provide expert nursing care to patients in the PCU with conditions such as CVA/TIA Manage complex patient needs including CVL placement, Foley catheter management, tube feedings, arterial lines, and diabetes Administer drip medications including Levophed (preferred), Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin, with proper titration Complete EKG competency upon arrival for compliance Collaborate with charge nurses, resource staff, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver seamless patient care Document patient progress and interventions using Meditech Expanse EMR system Assist with unit support functions such as PICC/midline placements (via VAT team) and resource nursing as needed Support a safe and professional environment, adhering to hospital policies and patient safety protocols
What You Need:
Current RN license recognized in City, State or compact state
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
certifications required Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience, preferably with CVA/TIA patients
Skills:
CVL management, arterial lines, tube feedings, insulin/medication titration, EKG competency Ability to float to Stepdown, Med/Surg units as needed Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills About the

This assignment is at a trusted hospital in City, State, featuring a 6-bed stepdown unit dedicated to delivering high-quality care to CVA, TIA, and other acute patients. The unit offers a collaborative environment with access to advanced equipment such as Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and an integrated EMR system. You will work a flexible 12-hour day schedule, with opportunity to support patient recovery and improve outcomes in a dynamic setting.
