Required Skills:
Valid RN license with at least 2 years of recent acute care experience, including Med/Surg and surgical recovery units. Proficiency in wound management, JP drains, wound vacs, Hemodialysis Catheter care, and cardiac rhythm interpretation. Ability to pass an EKG competency exam. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Nice to
Have Skills:
Experience with telemetry monitoring and non-titratable cardiac drips. Prior travel or float nurse experience within diverse unit settings. Familiarity with EMR systems like Meditech Expanse.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Minimum of 2 years of clinical RN experience in acute care settings, with specific experience in surgical and medical patient care.
Other Requirements:
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. Ability to efficiently manage complex patient cases, including urology post-op patients and Med/Surg overflow. Flexibility to work every other weekend, holidays, and shifts that include 4-day and 3-day work weeks. Willingness to float across various Med/Surg units and work in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred for hospital travel and assignments.
